There are different types of visas available for Zimbabwe. You will be required a visa even if you are transiting through Zimbabwe unless you are from a visa-exempt group.
You can realize your planned trip to Zimbabwe by obtaining a Zimbabwe visa. Foreign nationals can apply to Zimbabwe short-term visas (Single, Double, Multiple entries) e-Visa, via embassy, on arrival, or KAZA UNIVISA for temporary reasons (tourism, business, cultural, and other short-term purposes).

- A conference visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Zimbabwe for the purpose of attending a conference, seminar, or workshop. It may be granted for a period of 30 (thirty) days and may not be renewed.

- Transit charges shall be levied on all foreign-registered trucks, busses, and vehicles that use our road network for transit purposes to or from other countries. The current charge is US$10 per 100km traveled. It will be paid at the port of entry before road usage.

Zimbabwe KAZA UNIVISA
The KAZA UNIVISA Pilot Project was launched on 28th November 2014 with an initial period to run for six months and later extended for a further six months. On 21st December 2016, Zimbabwe and Zambia launched the roll-out phase of the KAZA UNIVISA in Livingstone, Zimbabwe, where the Ministers of Home Affairs from both Zimbabwe and Zambia signed a Memorandum of Understanding symbolizing the commencement of the permanent issuance of the KAZA UNIVISA. It is the desire of both Zimbabwe and Zambia that the phase of implementation will lead to the final incorporation of the other three partner countries into this initiative.

Most of the visitors to Zimbabwe can obtain Visa on Arrival. Eligible nationals to this visa type can obtain Zimbabwe visa in two different ways:

Even if your country is exempt from visa requirements, if you intend to stay longer in Zimbabwe, you will need to apply for a long-stay visa from your home country before coming to Zimbabwe.
In some countries, Zimbabwe's official embassies and consulates don’t process long-term visas, instead of visa applicants apply for short-term tourist visas for traveling to Zimbabwe and they only apply for residence permit when they have already arrived in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Long-term Visa is given to foreigners who wish to live in Zimbabwe for a longer period of time or to have temporary or permanent residence established.

You must meet certain requirements to enter Zimbabwe, even if you are not required a visa:
- The purpose of your trip to Zimbabwe must be plausible and comprehensible.
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay in Zimbabwe.
- You must be able to finance your own living and travel costs.
- You must hold a confirmed return flight to prove that you are prepared to leave Zimbabwe before the allowed period of stay ends.
- You must not pose a threat to security or public order.
