If you have a flight change, however, with a duration of more than six hours, so you may need this visa. This process can vary depending on your nationality, duration of stay, etc. It is important to check and verify the information with airlines and transit airport before your flight.

If you need a visa for your transit period in Oman, you must apply for the Oman Transit visa or Oman Tourist visa beforehand.

Even if your country is exempt from visa requirements, if you intend to stay longer in Oman, you will need to apply for a long-stay visa from your home country before coming to Oman.

In some countries, Oman official embassies and consulates don’t process long-term visas, instead of visa applicants apply for short-term tourist visas for travelling to Oman, and they only apply for residence permit when they have already arrived in Oman. This procedure can vary depending on your country of residence, nationality, and the embassy's policy you apply for a visa.
