Holders of any valid USA, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Schengen visas (any nationality) or permanent residence of USA, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Schengen, Pacific Alliance (Colombia, Peru, Chile) do not require a Mexican visa to travel on business, tourism, or transit purpose for or less than 180 days as long as they present any of the mentioned documents at the point of entry.

Mexico Short-term Visa

  • Official Registry or Denomination of the organization. (Razón Social de la organización o institución)
  • Number of the official registry if it corresponds to the organization.
  • Mission/objective of the organization or institution (private or public)
  • Complete address and contact information of the organization or institution
  • Information on the activity or project that the guest is doing in the organization
  • The estimated duration of the activity that the guest will undertake
  • The letter will have to explicitly mention the commitment of the organization or institution to cover all expenses of the person invited during his/her stay in Mexico and the commitment of his return to his/her country of residence.
  • Copy of an official identification with signature and photography of the person that will sign this letter

10. Original and Photocopy of Bank Statements or Investment Proofs of the Mexican Organization or Institution (Last 12 Months)

11. A Document Attesting that the Applicant has the Experience to Carry Out the Activity for Which He is Invited (Example: Original Degree or Educational Certificate)

• People who are receiving a scholarship:
  • The letter must mention the amount of the scholarship that the student will receive
• People who are you are under 25 years old:
  • Their parents can sponsor their studies
• People who are above 25 years old:
  • Must demonstrate that they have enough resources to cover their expenses on their own

Where to Apply for Mexico Family Reunion Visa?

The Mexico Electronic Authorization System enables nationals of Ukraine, Russia, and Turkey to travel to Mexico for a period of up to 180 days without having to obtain a visa from their respective Mexican Embassy. Visitors entering Mexico on an Electronic Authorization must arrive by plane and must not carry out paid activities. The allowed reasons for travel are tourism, transit, businesses (without receiving payment in Mexico), study, medical purposes, etc.

Electronic Authorization can be obtained from 25 calendar days before the date of your trip to Mexico.

Electronic Authorization is free of charge. You only need to have a valid passport and be a Russian, Ukrainian, or Turkish citizen to be eligible to apply.

On the day of your trip, you will need to present your passport and proof of authorization (electronic visa) at the airline's counter you will be traveling on.

Upon arrival in Mexico, you must fill out the Multiple Immigration Form (FMM), marking the option according to your travel purpose. At the point of entry, the federal immigration agent will verify your printed, electronic authorization and your valid passport.

Electronic authorization does not guarantee entry into the territory of Mexico. At the point of entry, the immigration authorities will verify the reasons for your trip, the duration of your stay in Mexico, and how you will pay for expenses during your stay. The immigration control officers have the power to authorize or deny entry to Mexico.

The electronic authorization is valid for 30 days from its issuance. It is valid for a trip to Mexico, so we recommend that the date of your flight coincide with the validity of your authorization. Once in Mexican territory, it is possible to stay for a maximum period of up to 180 consecutive days.
