Can apply for Macau Authorization to Enter and Stay. Macau Authorization to Enter and Stay should be used within 120 days from the date it is granted, otherwise, the Authorization will expire. Generally, the Authorization is valid for 30 days from the date of entry, and it can be more. Students from Mainland China and other countries can apply to Special Authorization for Non-resident students in order to take higher education programs in higher educational institutions in Macau.

Eligibility:

  • Meeting the requirements eligible to the system of entry, stay, and residence authorization in Macau.
  • Not in a lawfully restricted status.
  • Accepted/admitted to a higher educational institution in Macau.
  • Limit of stay granted in the original "Authorization to Stay" not long enough for the student to legally reside and study in Macau until the education ends

How to apply:

For Mainland China Students:

  • Mainland China students holding a "P.R.C. Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau" are required to apply for " Macau Special Authorization for Non-resident Students" as soon as they enter Macau with "Type D – Stay" endorsement and within the limit of stay granted upon their first entry (a maximum of 90 days).

For students from other countries:

  • They should make an application 20 days before the expiration date of “Authorization to stay”

Follow-up Procedure

Individual Application:

The applicant is required to bring the following documents for inquiry of the application result:

Group Application by Institute:

The educational institution can make an application on behalf of the student. The procedure is as follows:

  • The institute sends an official letter to the respective Subdivision
  • Present his/her staff card and ID card to the Subdivision for verification;
  • Bring along the valid passport/travel document or "P.R.C. Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau" (together with "Type D – Stay" endorsement) of the students.
