You will apply for a Macau Visa on Arrival at Macau International Airport.

Visitors who:

• Are not exempted a visa or entry permit to Macau
• Do not plan to apply for Macau Visa on Arrival

• Want to visit a family member or relative who lives or works in Macau

Can apply for Macau Authorization to Enter and Stay. Macau Authorization to Enter and Stay should be used within 120 days from the date it is granted, otherwise, the Authorization will expire. For Mainland China Students:

• Mainland China students holding a "P.R.C. Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau" are required to apply for " Macau Special Authorization for Non-resident Students" as soon as they enter Macau with "Type D – Stay" endorsement and within the limit of stay granted upon their first entry (a maximum of 90 days).

For students from other countries:

• They should make an application 20 days before the expiration date of “Authorization to stay”

Follow-up Procedure

Individual Application:

The applicant is required to bring the following documents for inquiry of the application result:

• Application acceptance receipt

• If the application is approved, the applicant will be issued "Slip of Authorization to Stay - student type", and sign to acknowledge the notification letter.

Group Application by Institute:

The educational institution can make an application on behalf of the student. The procedure is as follows:

• The institute sends an official letter to the respective Subdivision
• Present his/her staff card and ID card to the Subdivision for verification;
• Bring along the valid passport/travel document or "P.R.C. Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macau" (together with "Type D – Stay" endorsement) of the students.
• Sign to acknowledge the notification letter on behalf of the students;

Procedure:

1. Above-mentioned documents should be presented to the Subdivision concerned

2. After the documents are submitted, the Subdivision conducts an initial examination of the application instantly. If it is approved, the initially approved application form will be returned to the applicant.

3. After entering Macau, the applicant may apply to the Subdivision for "Authorization to Stay" (valid for a maximum of 45 days) with the application form and a valid ID document. Then, the applicant can reside and temporarily work in Macau legally until the Authorization expires.
