Mexico Short Term visa 

If you would like to get a Mexico tourist visa, you need to apply for a Mexico short term visa. You can also apply for this visa if you would like to realize any trip which is less than 180 days. Mexico Temporary Resident Visa (Long Term visa)

Even if you don't need a visa to enter Mexico, but intend to stay in Mexico longer than 180 days, you need to apply for a Mexico Resident Permit. Resident permit grants you the opportunity to enter the country as a potential resident and apply for residency. It is a single-entry visa that is valid for six months.

Holders of valid USA, UK, Canada, Japan, and multiple Schengen visas, or holders of permanent residence of USA, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Schengen, Pacific Alliance (Colombia, Peru, Chile) do not need a visa to stay in Mexico for less than 180 days. However, other nationalities need to obtain a visa before coming to Mexico.
