You can carry out your planned trip to Kazakhstan by obtaining a Kazakhstan visa. Foreign nationals can apply for short-term visas to Kazakhstan (tourist visa, electronic visa) for temporary reasons (tourism, cultural, business, and other short-term purposes). If you intend to stay in Kazakhstan for a longer period for any reason (e.g. for studies, work, etc.), you can also apply for a long-term visa (residence permit) to Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan eVisa can only be issued if you have a valid invitation from Kazakhstan. You need the invitation number from the inviting person in Kazakhstan to apply for a visa. You must print the e-visa issued and present it to the state in Kazakhstan. The e-visa entitles you to enter/exit Kazakhstan only through Nur-Sultan and Almaty International Airports.

Before travelling to Kazakhstan, travellers should ensure that they have all the necessary documents. You must have a valid passport that is valid for the duration of your stay.

To enter Kazakhstan using your eVisa, you will need to show the authorities your passport (which should have at least two blank pages expiring no earlier than three months later after your visa expires) and a printed copy of your online visa.

A visa application to the consulate is usually processed within a week. However, the visa process may be extended up to 30 days and exceptionally up to 60 days in individual cases where a more thorough examination of the application is required.
