The applicants who wish to enter Uganda for different purposes need to apply for an appropriate visa, permit or pass through Uganda Electronic Visa/Permit Application System.

The foreigners can realize their trips to Uganda for different purposes (such as tourism, business, diplomatic, study, work and etc.)  by obtaining E-Visa since 2016. The applicants need to print out their confirmed E-visa to present it at the entry. All applicants except citizens from visa-exempted countries and Somalia are eligible to obtain Uganda E-visa.

Uganda Tourist visa is issued for applicants intending to visit Uganda for tourism and sightseeing. You can apply for an Uganda Tourist visa in order to realize your tourist activities.

The average processing time for an Uganda Tourist (E-visa) Visa is 3-5 working days for a single entry, 15-20 working days for a multiple entry visa. It depends on your visa application country.

Uganda East Africa Tourist Visa (E-visa)

You can realize your tourist activities in Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya by obtaining only one multiple entry visa. This visa enables you to travel between Kenya Uganda and Rwanda simultaneously. Uganda East Africa Tourist Visa doesn’t allow you to enter countries different from the stated ones above.

Uganda Business Visa (E-visa)

Uganda Business visa gives you the authorization to enter Uganda and stay here for a maximum period of your visa validity, as permitted. It permits its holder to engage in business-related activities such as attending meetings or conferences, conducting or attending the training, conducting internal audits, installing equipment, or performing other temporary services for a client, local affiliate, or branch office.

Uganda Dependent Pass fee is 200 USD for a spouse, 100 USD for a child, 500 USD for other relatives. The dependent spouse and child of the diplomat and official are exempted from paying the Dependent Pass fee. The fee may vary depending on your nationality or your country of submission.

FAQ

If I obtain confirmation of my E-visa, can I enter the country without any problem?

Even if you get approved E-visa, your entrance is confirmed at the entry by immigration officials

Can I change my E-visa application?

After submitting your application, you can only modify it if additional documents are requested.

Will the paid fee be refunded if I cancel my application?

No. Fees paid are non-refundable.

Is it possible to reapply for E-visa after getting rejection?

Yes. You can apply for a new E-visa if your circumstances have changed. Otherwise, your new application will also be rejected.

I got a rejection for my E-visa application. Where can I learn the reasons for it?

In the rejection email, the reasons for rejection are specified.

How can I extend my Uganda visa or permit?

It is done in the section of Extend your application of applications or Immigration Office in Kampala.

How can I check my E-visa application status?

All improvements in the approval process will be sent via email to you. Additionally, you can check the status of your application on the website of the Uganda Electronic Work/Permit Application System under the heading of Manage of your applications.

Is it mandatory to print the approval of an E-visa?

It is not mandatory. However, it speeds up the procedure at the entry.

Are my card details safe?

Yes. Uganda E-visa system doesn’t hold your card details after the transaction is done.
