On April 19, 2019, in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Suriname an electronic visa of Suriname and an electronic tourist card were created in cooperation with the Visa Center VFS Global. Thus, citizens of all countries in the world have the opportunity to apply for a Surinamese visa electronically.

All nationals from all countries who normally are required to obtain a visa to travel to Suriname can apply for Suriname E-visa.

The temporary stay visa grants entry to Suriname on the basis that you will be applying for a residence permit. It enables you to enter Suriname as a potential resident and stay while you apply for residency.

You can submit your application through the VFS website. The first step of the E-Tourist Card application is to register on the website. Provide all the requested information and upload the necessary documents. If you are a minor, it may be necessary to upload additional documents.
The fee to be paid for Suriname E-Tourist Card is USD 40. Additional service fee in the amount of USD 14 charged as well.
The Visa fee and service fee levied to the applicant are non-refundable.
All E-Visas or E-Tourist Cards are sent to the email address informed at the time of registration. The E-Visa or E-Tourist card will also be available for download in PDF format when you log in to the Suriname visa website.
All visitors must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. If your passport validity is less than 6 months, you have to renew your passport before you can apply for an e-visa. The passport should also have at least 1 blank page for use by the Immigration Officer.
If your Suriname e-visa was issued with incorrect information, it could be corrected by contacting the service desk. Please note that the amount of time to correct the Suriname e-visa will depend on the type of error.
It is not mandatory for the Credit/Debit card to be in the name of the applicant.
If you do not submit the additional documents within 30 days, your Suriname e-visa will be denied, and you will have to start a new application. Fees paid will not be refunded.
The decision to grant entry visas for Suriname is entirely at the discretion of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No one can guarantee that your e-visa application will be approved. The ultimate decision for further access to Surinamese territory lies with the (Airport) Immigration Service.
Although it is possible to apply as a family, each application is analyzed separately. If your E-visa or E-tourist card was denied, you can reapply for another E-visa or E- tourist card (but the rest of your family can travel).

Passport holders of all nationalities are eligible to apply for Suriname E-visa except passport holders of nationalities from countries who have signed a visa waiver agreement with the Republic of Suriname.
