Isle of Man Visa Policy

For the Isle of Man Passport and Visa Regulations, please see the UK Visa Policy. Although the Isle of Man is not part of the United Kingdom, British overseas missions process visas on its behalf; the Isle of Man visitor visa fee is the same as the UK visitor visa fee.

It means you can apply for a UK visa for traveling to the Isle of Man. There is no separate (individual) visa for the Isle of Man.

If you already have a valid visa to visit the United Kingdom, you do not need to apply for a separate visa to visit the Isle of Man at the same time.

Holders of a valid visa for the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man, or the Channel Islands may travel freely around the Common Travel Area without the need to apply for a specific visa for the Isle of Man.

Nationals of some countries do not need to apply for entry clearance prior to travel to the Isle of Man/United Kingdom. Instead, they are assessed at the point of entry to the United Kingdom.

Schengen visas are not valid in the Isle of Man and cannot be issued by the Immigration Office of the Isle of Man.

Please check if you need to apply for entry clearance before you travel.

Passengers arriving on the Isle of Man via Dublin must present themselves and their passports to the Isle of Man Immigration Office.

If you need to visit the Isle of Man on a regular basis for a longer period of time, you can apply for a long-stay Standard Visitor Visa that lasts 2, 5, or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of six months on each visit.

Caution must be exercised by the holder of a long-stay visa so that successive and frequent visits are not seen as a means of living in the United Kingdom or the Isle of Man. Entry to the United Kingdom may be refused if it is felt that this is the case.

Note: If you are a non-visa national who can visit the Isle of Man without a visa, you will need prior entry clearance if you wish to travel to the Isle of Man in any other category.

You will not be able to apply for a further vacation to stay in the Isle of Man if you arrive as a visitor in the United Kingdom/Isle of Man.
