Chad Visa Policy

You can realize your planned trip to Chad by obtaining a Chad visa. Foreign nationals can apply to Chad visas for business, tourism, and other reasons.

Holders of a diplomatic or official passport or any other travel document issued by an international organization are not required to pay for visa fees.

The validity of Chad Visas:

• Single-entry Visa – 1 month
• Multiple-entry Visa – 3 months
• Multiple-entry Visa – 6 months

Foreigners need an authorization letter to obtain a Chad Visa.  Only the citizens of Benin can obtain Chad on Arrival visa without an authorization letter. The rest of the nationalities, they are all required to obtain NOC (No Objection Certificate) for Chad before departure.

1. Passport

• Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the return date.
• It also must have at least two blank pages.

2. Photo

• The photo should be of passport format, a recent whole-face capture with a light background.
• It must be in the size of 3 x 4 color, and the head should take 70-80% of the photo.
• You must be looking straight at the camera with a neutral facial expression (no smile and mouth closed).
• Try to avoid uniforms or colors matching the background.

Chad Transit Visa will be granted to travelers whose itinerary includes a stop-over in the territory of Chad.

There is no need to obtain a transit visa for 48 hours if the applicant has the below-mentioned criteria:

• Or you should confirm with the airline company that boarding is possible without a visa, as these rules are subject to change without any prior notice.

If the applicant is not meeting the above-mentioned criteria, he/she should apply for a Transit visa at the embassy/consulate.
