You must meet certain requirements to enter Australia, even if you are not required a visa:
All fees are non-refundable and will not be refunded if your visa application is not successful.
It depends on your country of residence or the embassy/consulate/Visa Administrative Center’s rules and obligations. In some countries, sending your documents via courier is enough to the embassy/consulate/Visa Administrative Center.
The embassy may request you to provide additional documents or information, according to your personal situation, even after you have submitted all the required documents mentioned on the official website of the Embassy/Consulate/Visa Application Center.
An Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is a document that allows you to travel to and enter Australia and is electronically connected to your passport.
It is intended for short-term stays for tourist or business guest activities such as attending a meeting, making business inquiries, or negotiating contracts. Employment is not included in the duties of a business tourist.
You must be outside of Australia to apply for an ETA online. An ETA is for short-term stays for tourist or business purposes.
To complete the online application, you must have your visa, an email address, and a valid credit card.
The information you include in your online ETA application must match precisely what is in your passport. When traveling, you must use the same passport that is connected to your online ETA application.
Anyone arriving in Australia without a valid travel permit, visa, or authority can be denied entry or postponed until their identification and right to enter Australia are verified.
No, it does not. Working on an ETA is illegal. You are not permitted to operate on an approximate time of arrival.
If you work in Australia on an ETA, you fear being arrested and deported, as well as facing a three-year exclusion period.
Each visit to Australia allows you to stay for a period of three months.
After receiving your ETA, you will be free to visit and depart Australia as many times as you need to within a 12-month span, beginning on the day the ETA is issued and ending on the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.
No, each family member must submit a different ETA submission. And if your children travel on your visa, they would need an ETA submission on their own.
Members of your family traveling with you will use the online ETA system to qualify for an ETA if they follow any of the online ETA eligibility requirements.
If you already have a valid visa for travel to Australia, you will be told during the application process and granted the option of continuing with your application.
If you continue, any ETA you are given will not begin until your existing visa or ETA expires.
You can not apply for an ETA if you have a previous record and have been sentenced to a period of imprisonment of 12 months or longer. Other forms of online tourist visas can be available to you.
If you are deemed to be in violation of any of the conditions, your visa will be revoked at the border and you may be unable to visit Australia.
